St. Jude

St. Jude, known as Thaddaeus, was a brother of St. James the Less, and a relative of Our Savior. He was one of the 12 Apostles of Jesus and his attribute is a club. Images of St. Jude often include a flame around his head, which represent his presence at Pentecost, when he accepted the Holy Spirit alongside the other apostles. He earned his title of Patron Saint of Impossible Causes because of a letter he wrote in 60AD to persecuted Christian converts in the East, exhorting them to stay strong in the face of all difficulties.
His feast day is Oct. 28.
San Judas, conocido como Tadeo, era hermano de Santiago el Menor y pariente de Nuestro Salvador. Fue uno de los 12 Apóstoles de Jesús y su atributo es una maza. Las imágenes de San Judas suelen incluir una llama alrededor de su cabeza, que representa su presencia en Pentecostés, cuando aceptó el Espíritu Santo junto a los demás apóstoles. Obtuvo su título de Santo Patrón de las Causas Imposibles debido a una carta que escribió en el año 60 d.C. a los cristianos conversos perseguidos en Oriente, exhortándolos a mantenerse fuertes frente a todas las dificultades.

Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, I place myself into your hands at this difficult time. Help me to know that I am not alone. Please pray for me, asking God to send me comfort for my sorrows, bravery for my fears, and healing for my suffering.
