This year’s Archbishop’s Catholic Appeal is more important than ever. The first million in donated funds will go directly to parishes to help mitigate the decrease in general offertory during this pandemic. Thank you for your generosity towards this year’s Archbishop’s Catholic Appeal.
Welcome to the Sacred Heart parish webpage. We’re a growing, diverse parish in the heart of Denver’s River North (RiNo) neighborhood, offering daily and weekend Masses in a beautiful historic building. Fun fact(s): Sacred Heart is the third Catholic church built in Colorado, and Servant of God Julia Greeley, an emancipated slave who became known as “Denver’s Angel of Charity”, called Sacred Heart her home parish.
I grew up in Aurora, Colorado, and was ordained a priest in December 2013. I served as the parochial vicar for two and a half years at Saint Stephen Protomartyr in Glenwood Springs, followed by Light of the World in Littleton for three years before being named pastor at Sacred Heart in June 2019.
I look forward to welcoming you to the Sacred Heart parish community.
Father Joseph Lajoie
Pastor
